Maintenance regulations
Electrofusion machines that are not maintained, or are not professionally maintained, can
cause serious accidents. It is essential to observe the maintenance intervals and maintenance
work outlined below.
Interval Maintenance work
Regularly (before use, at the
start of the working day)
• Visually inspect the electrofusion machine for externally
visible defects and damage that could affect safety. Do not
operate a damaged electrofusion machine.
• Carry out a visual inspection to check the mains cable for
externally visible defects and damage that could affect
safety. Have a damaged mains cable replaced by the
manufacturer, its customer service team or a similarly
qualified person.
• Clean the casing of the electrofusion machine with a damp
cloth.
