3. Using the Torque Wrench
ALWAYS read the important Safety Information (section 1)
BEFORE using the torque wrench.
The instructions describe the use of the following product
types:
x Torque wrench with rectangular cavity (SE) adaptor
and
x Torque wrench with spigot end adaptor
ALWAYS apply the torque wrench in the direction of rotation
specified. Follow the direction of rotation arrow.
3.1 Right tightening and left tightening
x Torque wrench with SE adaptor for controlled right
tightening and left tightening.
x Torque wrench with spigot end adaptor for controlled
right tightening and left tightening.
Screw tightening is represented schematically in terms of a
torque wrench equipped with a spigot end adaptor. When
screw tightening, the procedures are the same for the spigot
end and SE adaptor. The particular direction of rotation is
marked on the housing very clearly.
