The Home Screen
The home screen is the first screen you see after unlocking your device. You
can use multiple screens to store shortcuts to your favourite apps or widgets.
At the bottom of the home screen, notice the All Apps icon.
Touch it to see all the apps and widgets installed on your device.
To add an app or widget to a Home screen:
1. Go to the Home screen where you want to place the app or widget.
2. Touch the All Apps icon.
3. Swipe right, if necessary, to find the app or widget you want.
4. Touch & hold the app or widget until the Home screen appears, slide it into
place, and lift your finger.
The middle of your Home screen can hold app and widget icons, plus folders.
• To open an app, folder, or widget, touch its icon.
• To rename a folder, touch its name.
• To combine two icons in a folder, slide one quickly over the other
• To see additional Home screens, swipe your finger quickly left or right.
• At the top of the screen you'll find Google Search, which lets you
search your device or the Internet. Touch Google to type your search
terms, or to speak them.
You can combine several app icons in a folder. Drop one app icon over another
on a Home screen, and the two icons will be added to a new folder.
