8.2 To change jaws
• Disconnect the blind rivet setting tool from the compressed air supply.
• Unscrew steel head sleeve (No. 2).
• Unscrew jaw housing (No. 4).
• Remove jaws (No. 5).
• Clean jaw housing (No. 4) and grease sliding surfaces.
• Fit new jaws (No. 5) from the front (they are held by the grease).
• Reassembleinreverseorder,ensuringthatallpartsarexedtight.
8.3 To top up hydraulic oil
• Disconnect the blind rivet setting tool from the compressed air supply.
• Unscrew steel head sleeve (No. 2).
• Unscrew oil screw plug (No. 12) and seal (No. 13) using T20 Torx screwdriver.
• Screwonsuppliedoilrellreservoirwithcover.
• Connect blind rivet setting tool to compressed air supply and press trigger (No. 40); then
disconnect blind rivet setting tool from compressed air supply.
• Pourusedoiloutofoilrellreservoir.
• Filloilrellreservoiruptothemarkwithhydraulicoil.
• Carefullymovethepullpistonunitbackandforthbyhanduntilbubble-freeoilowsout;
push back the pull piston unit as far as it will go and leave in this position.
• Unscrewoilrellreservoirandscrewinoilscrewplug(No.12)withseal(No.13).
• Connect the blind rivet setting tool to the compressed air supply.
• Carefully undo oil screw plug (No. 12) by 2 turns; the pull piston unit moves slowly into
the front end position. Collect leaking oil in a rag.
• Tighten oil screw plug (No. 12).
• Screw on steel head sleeve (No. 2).
