8 Maintenance
The entire system has to be checked and maintained at regular intervals:
à Function check: monthly
à Maintenance: annually
X
Carry out and document maintenance in accordance with the inspection book “Power-operated windows in
ventilation and RWA systems as well as NRWGs”.
Checking and maintenance work may only be carried out by trained personnel.
8.1 Maintenance of the control unit
X
Check the mains voltage (230 V AC).
X
Check the rm seating and state of the terminal connections.
X
Check the cables and connecting wires (for damage).
X
Check the displays and switches.
X
Check the fuse links.
X
Check the installation date of the battery and replace it, if necessary (at the latest 4 years after installation).
à Dispose of non-functional batteries properly.
à Note down the installation date of the new battery.
X
Check the system voltages.

X
Check charging circuit, without RECHARGEABLE BATTERY.
à Remove the BATTERY fuse F1.
à Activate the “Test load voltage” parameter.
The load voltage is switched on for 10 s (LEDs 2 and 3 ash).
à Measure voltage at measuring point (1). A test voltage of 24V can be measured.
No short-circuit may be generated during the measurement!
à Insert the BATTERY fuse again after completing measuring.
X
Check maintenance charge voltage with fully charged RECHARGEABLE BATTERY:
à Measure charging current (with full RECHARGEABLE BATTERY = charging current <10mA)
à Measure RECHARGEABLE BATTERY voltage at measuring point (1) (Reference: 27.0 … 27.6V at 20°C)
X
If applicable, reset the maintenance interval, see Chapter 6.1.4, Parameter No. 3.
