“Spongy” riding behaviour Tyre pressure too low Increase the air pressure
(see section 6.1.2). If the same
riding behaviour occurs again
fairly shortly thereafter, the
tyre has a slow puncture
(see next line).
Increasingly “spongy” riding
behaviour
Very unusual wheel rolling
behaviour (you feel every
small stone)
Flat tyre Flat tyre: Replace the inner
tube, also the tyre and rim tape
if necessary, see section 15.5.1.
