Setting the ringer melody
Set different ringer melodies for
external calls, internal calls and the
alarm clock.
In idle status:

q Select melody and press
§OK§ (= selected).
Activating/deactivating the
ring tones
You can:
u Permanently deactivate the ring
tones in idle status or when
receiving a call
u Deactivate the ring tones for the
current call only
The ring tones cannot be re-acti-
vated while a call is in progress.
Permanently deactivating the ring
tones
P Press and hold the star
key.
The

icon appears in the display.
Reactivating the ring tones
P Press and hold the star
key.
Deactivating the ring tones for the
current call

Advisory/warning tones
Your handset uses advisory tones to
tell you about different activities
and statuses. The following tones
can be activated and deactivated
independently of each other:
u Advis.Tones
Key click: Every key press is
confirmed.
Confirmation tone (rising tone
sequence): At the end of an
entry/setting, when the hand-
set is placed in the base and on
arrival of a new entry in the
answering machine list or the
call list.
Error tone (descending tone
sequence): When you make an
incorrect entry.
Menu end tone: When scroll-
ing at the end of a menu.
u Battery Low
The battery needs charging.
The menu end tone when scrolling
at the end of a menu cannot be
deactivated.
