Important Safeguards
Read and understand all instructions. These instructions provide important information on the correct
installation, use and maintenance of your GIME coffee machine.
If you have questions please contact the manufacturer or the authorized technical service before you install
and/or use the machine. Save these instructions.
The information contained in this manual is necessary for the safe installation and operation of your GIME coffee
machine. It should be retained in a safe place for future reference. Copies are available from your local GIME dealer.
The instructions in this handbook are in no way a substitute for the safety instructions and technical data on the
machine or the packaging concerning installation and function.
Your machine should only be operated in accordance with instructions contained in this manual and verbal
instructions and training provided by an authorised GIME dealer.
This handbook is an essential part of the machine.
The appliance is only to be installed in locations where use and maintenance is restricted to trained personnel
Only fully trained professional persons should operate this equipment.
Do not touch hot surfaces as steam and hot water wands and the metal parts of coffee brewing group. Attention: never
hold your hands under the coffee brewing group and the steam and hot water wands. Hot drinks, hot steam and hot
water are dispensed. Danger! Please note that during automatic cleaning cycles also the coffee brewing group
dispenses hot water. Also the cups tray can become very hot!
To protect against electric shock do not immerse any part of the machine, as well as cord and plugs in water or other
liquid. Do never allow liquids getting into or on the machine.
Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used by or near children. The appliance is not intended for use
by young children or infirm persons without supervision. Young children should be supervised to ensure that they do
not play with the appliance.
Unplug from outlet when machine is unattended, not in use and before cleaning. Allow cooling before putting on or
taking off parts.
Never allow any contact of machine’s internal and external parts with any kind of liquids (i.e. cleaning products etc.).
Unplug from water mains when unattended, not in use and before cleaning.
Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord, plugs, or after the appliance malfunctions or has been damaged in
any manner. Do always contact the authorised technical service.
The use of accessory attachments not recommended by the appliance manufacturer may cause injuries.
Do not use outdoors.
Do not let cord hang over edge of table or counter, or touch hot surfaces.
Do not place on or near a hot gas or electric burner or in a heated oven.
Extreme caution must be used when moving an appliance containing hot oil or other hot liquids.
To disconnect the plug from the wall outlet, turn any control to “off”, then remove plug.
Do not use appliance for other than intended use, which is preparation of coffee, dispensing of hot water and steam.
The information contained in this manual relating to installation and operation is not a substitute for safety instructions
and technical data affixed to the machine and/or its packaging.
The manual provides information that is current at the time of publication. The information is subject to amendment or
alteration without notice.
Installation and maintenance should only be carried out by technicians and service providers authorised by the
manufacturer.
The manufacturer accepts no liability for injury and damage to person, persons or property caused by incorrect
installation, misuse, and operator negligence, neglect of the machine or any other circumstances beyond its control.
The machine should not be operated with temperatures under 8°C (46°F) and over 44 °C (110 °F).
Height of the support on which the machine is to be installed: this height has to be at least of 105 cm.
The machine must be used exclusively with clean fresh drinking water.
