MAINTENANCE
WARNING:
Do not at any time let brake fluids, gasoline, petrole-
umbased products, penetrating oils, etc., come in
contact with plastic parts. Chemicals can damage,
weaken or destroy plastic which may result in serious
personal injury.
WARNING:
To avoid serious personal injury, always remove the
batteries from the tool when cleaning or performing
any maintenance.
WARNING:
Always wear safety goggles or safety glasses with
side shields during power tool operation.
STORAGE
A storage rack with a “key hole” hanging feature is pro-
vided for convenient storage of the fully-assembled Sure-
Grip™ system. Screws and wall anchors should be
installed so that the center distance is 3 in.
NOTE: Store assembled Sure-Grip™ only as instructed.
Storing Sure-Grip™ system:
Snap fully-assembled Sure-Grip™ into storage rack
between system and motor drive.
Storing suction heads:
Align groove of suction head with side groove of stor-
age rack and slide into place. (Figure 18)
Storing extension pole:
Remove Sure-Grip™ system from extension pole.
Hang pole using hanger cap located at the end of pole.

NOTE: Store extension pole separately from assembled
Sure-Grip™ system when using hanger cap.
CHANGING THE BATTERIES
The remote control, motor drive, and Sure-Grip™ system
are each powered by a standard 9V battery. When the bat-
tery in the Sure-Grip™ system is low, the power light will
change from green to red. Change the battery immediately.
To change the battery in the remote control, motor
drive, or Sure-Grip™ system:
Remove the battery cover from the unit.
Remove the battery and replace with new 9V battery.
Replace the battery cover.
APPLICATIONS
You may use this tool for the purpose listed below:
Removing/installing light bulbs
GENERAL MAINTENANCE
Avoid using solvents when cleaning plastic parts. Most
plastics are susceptible to damage from various types of
commercial solvents and may be damaged by their use.
Use clean cloths to remove dirt, dust, oil, grease, etc.
