  If water keeps running in your Glacier Bay toilet, first, check the flush valve seal to be sure it's fully closed. Remove any debris from the seal and the sealing area that might prevent complete closure. Also, make sure the flush lever chain isn't too tight. Adjust the chain so the flush valve seal closes completely, leaving only a small amount of play between the lever and the chain.

If you find debris or the water flow seems weak, inspect the lower section of the fill valve for any blockages. The blockage could be at the shut-off valve or in the water supply line. If the fill valve has been in use for a while, and the float cup doesn't drop when you flush the tank, consider replacing the seal with a genuine Fluidmaster 242 seal.

  If your Glacier Bay toilet's flush quality is poor, try re-seating the tank for a proper connection. Loosen the wingnuts holding the tank by a few turns. Then, with your hands on top of the tank on both sides, press down while gently wiggling it to ensure it's correctly seated. You might feel a slight movement as the tank settles into place. Also, ensure the water level reaches the line on the overflow tube of the flush valve by turning the adjustment screw on the fill valve clockwise to raise the float cup. Finally, check that the flush lever chain isn't too loose; adjust it so the flush valve seal closes fully with only a little play.
