6.8 ADJUSTMENTS
6.8.1 Adjusting the clutch cable
The free travel at the end of the clutch pedal must be approximately 55 mm.
When the free travel is less than this, adjust the clutch by loosening nut (N°1
fig.23).
6.8.2 Adjusting the power take-off clutch
When the travel of the lever diminishes, adjust the clutch with adjuster (N°1
fig.24).
6.8.3 Brake adjustment
When one of the rear wheels brakes differently to the other or when the free
travel of the pedals is excessive, adjust the brakes by loosening nut (N° 1
fig.25). Adjust rod N° 2 until obtaining the desired result. Tighten nut N° 1.
Whenever the emergency-parking brake does not stop the machine properly,
take up the play by tightening nut (N° 3 fig.25)
6.9 ELECTRICAL SYSTEM
- Battery
Check and maintain the level of the electrolyte so that it covers the battery
elements, adding distilled water with the engine off and well away from naked
flames. Make sure that the battery terminals are well fixed and keep them
lubricated with Vaseline grease. Keep the battery clean and store it in a dry
place if it is to remain unused for a long period of time.
