WARNING
A
rope which recoils too quickly may hit someone
and cause serious bodily injury.

Grasp the starter rope.
Holding the frame of the
sprayer with

hand, pull the rope rapidly and
firmly. Continue holding the rope as you let it re-
turn.
Pull
and return the rope until the engine
starts.

Open the choke.
In
cold weather, leave the
choke closed for
10
to
30
seconds before open-
ing it to keepthe enginetunning. Otherwise, open
the choke as
soon
as the engine starts.
8. Dlsengage the gun safety latch.
9.
To start the pump:
a. Open the pressure drain valve.
b.
Turn the pressure control switch to ON.
c. Slowly increase the pressure setting until the
pump starts to cycle slowly. Cycle the pump slow-
drain valve, indicating the pump is fully primed.

Install the spray tip.

11.
Adjust the englne speed and pump pressure.
Trig-
ger the gun onto a test paper to check the spray pat-
tern and atomization. Turn the pressure adjusting knob
throttle setting as far as you can without changing the
until you get a good pattern.

spray pattern.
CAUTION
Always
use
the lowest needed fluid pressure and
the lowest needed throttle setting, to increase the
life of the sprayer. Higher settings cause excessive
cluich cycling, premature tip wear and premature
pump wear.
CAUTION

Close the fuel valve whenever you are transporting
