Why won't my Graco GM 3500 Paint Sprayer engine start?
    • G
      gwilsonAug 12, 2025
Your Graco Paint Sprayer might not start due to several reasons: the engine switch might not be on (turn it on); it could be out of gas (replenish the gas); the engine oil level might be low (replenish oil if the light on the rear of the engine glows); the spark plug cable might be disconnected or the spark plug damaged (connect the cable or replace the spark plug); or water might be frozen in the pressure control (return the pressure control to an authorized Graco dealer for repair).
  • I
    Isabel HullAug 15, 2025
Why is my Graco GM 3500 Paint Sprayer spitting from the gun?
    • J
      Jennifer BuchananAug 15, 2025
Spitting from the gun of your Graco Paint Sprayer can occur due to: air in the fluid pump or hose (check for loose connections at the pump intake and tighten, then prime the pump); a partially clogged tip (clear it); or a low or empty fluid supply (refill and prime the pump, checking the fluid supply often to prevent running the pump dry).
  • R
    Robert GonzalesAug 19, 2025
What to do if my Graco GM 3500 engine operates, but the displacement pump doesn’t?
    • A
      Amy RomeroAug 19, 2025
If the engine of your Graco Paint Sprayer is running, but the displacement pump isn’t working, consider these potential causes: the pressure control switch might be turned OFF (turn it on); the pressure setting might be too low (increase the pressure); the displacement pump outlet filter might be dirty (clean the filter); the tip or tip filter might be clogged (clean the tip or tip filter); the displacement pump rod might be seized by dry paint; the connecting rod, drive housing, or clutch might be worn or damaged; the pinion assembly might be worn or damaged; or the electrical power might not be energizing the field (check wiring connections and have the pressure control checked by an authorized Graco dealer).

    Becky VelasquezAug 23, 2025
What causes low fluid delivery in my Graco GM 3500?
    • U
      uthompsonAug 23, 2025
Low fluid delivery in your Graco Paint Sprayer could be due to: a clogged pump inlet screen (clean it); a pressure setting that is too low (increase the pressure); the engine RPM being too low (increase the throttle setting); a dirty outlet filter, tip filter, or tip (clean them); or a large pressure drop in the hose (use a larger diameter hose).
  • C
    Carlos SmithAug 27, 2025
What to do if the displacement pump output is low on the upstroke on my Graco Paint Sprayer?
    • T
      Thomas RossAug 27, 2025
If the displacement pump output is low on the upstroke for your Graco Paint Sprayer, it could be due to: a clogged pump inlet screen (clean it); the piston ball check not seating (service the piston ball check); worn or damaged piston packings (replace the packings); or a worn or damaged sleeve gasket in the displacement pump (replace it).
  • G
    gary80Aug 30, 2025
What to do if the displacement pump output is low on the downstroke or both strokes on my Graco GM 3500 Paint Sprayer?
    • S
      Sherry JohnsonAug 31, 2025
If the displacement pump output is low on the downstroke or both strokes for your Graco Paint Sprayer, consider these potential causes: a clogged pump inlet screen (clean it); worn or damaged piston packings (replace the packings); the intake valve ball check not seating properly (clean and service it); the engine RPM being too low (increase the throttle setting); or a worn or damaged clutch (replace it).
  • K
    Katherine AdamsSep 3, 2025
How to fix paint leaks into the wet-cup of my Graco GM 3500?
    • T
      Thomas GallegosSep 3, 2025
If paint leaks into the wet-cup of your Graco Paint Sprayer, it might be due to: a loose wet-cup (tighten it just enough to stop the leakage); throat packings that are worn or damaged (replace the packings); or a displacement rod that is worn or damaged (replace the rod).
  • N
    Nicholas BellSep 7, 2025
Why won’t the engine of my Graco GM 3500 Paint Sprayer “pull over”?
    • T
      Terri TaylorSep 7, 2025
If the engine of your Graco Paint Sprayer won’t “pull over”, it could be due to oil seepage into the combustion chamber. To resolve this, remove the spark plug, pull the starter rope 3 or 4 times, clean and replace the plug, and then try to start the engine. Keep the sprayer upright to avoid oil leakage.
