How to troubleshoot a Graco LineLazer 3500 engine that won't start?
    • B
      Brenda MichaelAug 16, 2025
If your Graco Paint Sprayer engine won't start, first ensure the engine switch is in the ON position. If that doesn't work, check if the engine is out of gas and refill the tank. Also, verify the engine oil level and replenish if low. Inspect the spark plug cable for disconnections or damage, and connect or replace it as needed. For a cold engine, use the choke. Confirm that the fuel shutoff lever is in the ON position. If oil is seeping into the combustion chamber, remove the spark plug, pull the starter rope several times, clean or replace the spark plug, and keep the sprayer upright.

Verify the engine oil level and replenish if low. Make sure the spark plug cable is connected and not damaged; replace the spark plug if necessary. If the engine is cold, use the choke. Also, confirm the fuel shutoff lever is in the ON position. If oil is seeping into the combustion chamber, remove the spark plug, pull the starter rope a few times, clean or replace the spark plug, and keep the sprayer upright.

How to prime Graco LineLazer 3500 Paint Sprayer if it is difficult?
    • N
      Nicholas BowersAug 22, 2025
If your Graco Paint Sprayer is difficult to prime, check for air in the pump or hose by tightening all fluid connections. Reduce engine speed and cycle the pump slowly during priming. Inspect the intake valve for leaks, ensuring the ball seat isn't damaged and the ball seats well after cleaning and reassembling the valve. Also, if the paint is too thick, thin it according to the supplier’s recommendations. Decreasing the throttle setting before priming the pump can also help.

Why is fluid spitting from the gun of my Graco LineLazer 3500?
    • J
      Jerry CalderonAug 26, 2025
If fluid is spitting from the gun of your Graco Paint Sprayer, it could be due to air in the pump or hose. Check and tighten all fluid connections and reprime the pump. Another reason could be a partially clogged tip, so clear the tip. Also, ensure the fluid supply isn't low or empty, and refill if necessary, priming the pump afterward. Check the fluid supply often to prevent the pump from running dry.

If paint leaks into the wetcup of your Graco Paint Sprayer, first try tightening the wetcup just enough to stop the leakage. If the leak persists, the throat packings may be worn or damaged, or the displacement rod may be worn or damaged.

What to do if fluid delivery is low on my Graco LineLazer 3500 Paint Sprayer?
    • E
      Eugene SandersAug 30, 2025
If the fluid delivery is low on your Graco Paint Sprayer, check the following: * Ensure the inlet screen isn't clogged and clean it if necessary. * Increase the pressure setting. * Increase the engine throttle setting. * Check the fluid filter, tip filter, and tip for clogs or dirt and clean them. * If you're using heavy materials, a larger diameter hose and/or shorter hose length might be needed. Avoid using more than 100 ft of 1/4 in. hose; use 3/8 in. hose for best performance (minimum 50 ft).

What causes low pump output on upstroke of my Graco LineLazer 3500 Paint Sprayer?
    • K
      Kyle ColeSep 2, 2025
Low pump output on the upstroke of your Graco Paint Sprayer could be due to a clogged hose inlet screen, so clean the inlet screen. It could also be that the piston ball is not seating. Another potential cause is worn or damaged piston packings, or a worn or damaged O-ring in the displacement pump.

What causes low pump output on downstroke or both strokes of my Graco LineLazer 3500 Paint Sprayer?
    • U
      uwrightSep 12, 2025
Low pump output on the downstroke or both strokes of your Graco Paint Sprayer can be caused by a clogged hose strainer, so clean the strainer screen. It may also be caused by worn or damaged piston packings. Another potential cause is the intake valve ball not seating properly. Also, ensure the engine speed isn't too low by increasing the throttle setting. A worn or damaged clutch can also cause this issue.
