Why won't my Graco Paint Sprayer start?
    • D
      Deanna CabreraAug 12, 2025
Your Graco Paint Sprayer might not start due to several reasons: * The engine switch might not be on. Turn it on. * The engine could be out of gas. Refill the gas tank. * The engine oil level might be low. Replenish the oil if needed. * The spark plug cable could be disconnected or damaged. Reconnect it or replace the spark plug. * There might be frozen water in the pressure control. Allow the sprayer to thaw completely.

What to do if fluid is spitting from the gun of my Graco GM7000 231327?
    • I
      ipayneAug 16, 2025
If fluid is spitting from the gun of your Graco Paint Sprayer, it could be due to: * Air in the pump or hose. Check and tighten all fluid connections and re-prime the pump. * A partially clogged tip. Clear the tip. * A low or empty fluid supply. Refill the fluid supply and prime the pump, checking the fluid supply often to prevent running the pump dry.

Why is the pump difficult to prime on my Graco GM7000 231327 Paint Sprayer?
    • J
      James RobersonAug 20, 2025
If you're finding it difficult to prime the pump on your Graco Paint Sprayer, consider these potential causes: * There's air in the pump or hose. Check and tighten all fluid connections, and reduce the engine speed while cycling the pump slowly during priming. * The intake valve is leaking. Clean the intake valve, ensuring the ball seat isn't nicked or worn and that the ball seats well; then reassemble the valve. * The paint is too thick. Thin the paint according to the supplier’s recommendations. * The engine speed is too high. Decrease the throttle setting before priming the pump.

How to improve low fluid delivery in my Graco Paint Sprayer?
    • S
      Sergio WilsonAug 27, 2025
Low fluid delivery in your Graco Paint Sprayer can be caused by: * A clogged inlet screen. Clean the inlet screen. * The pressure setting being too low. Increase the pressure. * The engine speed being too low. Increase the throttle setting. * A clogged or dirty fluid filter, tip filter, or tip. Clean the filter. * A large pressure drop in the hose with heavy materials. Use a larger diameter hose and/or reduce the overall length of hose. Using more than 100 ft of 1/4 in. hose significantly reduces sprayer performance; use 3/8 in. hose for optimum performance (50 ft minimum).

Why the displacement pump does not operate when the engine is running on my Graco Paint Sprayer?
    • C
      cdixonSep 4, 2025
If the engine is running but the displacement pump isn't operating on your Graco Paint Sprayer, check these possible causes: * The pressure control switch is turned off. Turn on the switch. * The pressure setting is too low. Turn the pressure adjusting knob clockwise to increase pressure. * The fluid filter is dirty. Clean the filter. * The tip or tip filter is clogged. Clean the tip or the tip filter. * The electrical power is not energizing the field. Check the wiring connections.

Why won't the engine "pull over" on my Graco Paint Sprayer?
    • D
      Donna MendozaSep 8, 2025
If the engine won’t "pull over" on your Graco Paint Sprayer, it could be due to oil seeping into the combustion chamber. Remove the spark plug, pull the starter rope 3 or 4 times, clean or replace the plug, and then try to start the engine. Keep the sprayer upright to avoid oil seepage.
