Why do the packings on my Graco Hydra-clean 1535 fail frequently?

Frequent or premature failure of packings in your Graco Pressure Washer can be due to several reasons. Check for scored, damaged, or worn plungers and replace them if necessary. Ensure there's proper filtration on the pump inlet plumbing to prevent abrasive material from entering. Verify that the inlet water temperature doesn't exceed 160°F (70°C). Avoid modifying any factory-set adjustments to prevent overpressurizing the pump. Clean or replace a partially plugged or damaged tip. Never run the pump for more than 10 minutes without spraying, and always ensure the pump has a water supply.
