How to troubleshoot Graco Roof Rigs 224483 engine that won’t start?
    • C
      Christopher JohnsonJul 29, 2025
If your Graco Paint Sprayer's engine won't start, first ensure the engine switch is turned on. Check if the gas tank is full and refill it if empty. Also, verify the engine oil level and replenish if the light on the rear of the engine glows. Inspect the spark plug cable and ensure it's connected, or replace the spark plug if damaged. If adjusting the pressure control knob doesn't start the pump, have the pressure control checked by an authorized Graco dealer.

Why is my Graco Roof Rigs 224483 gun spitting?
    • P
      Patrick SpearsAug 4, 2025
If your Graco Paint Sprayer gun is spitting, it could be due to air in the fluid pump or hose. Try changing the gasket in the siphon hose quick disconnect coupling if it's worn or missing, and replace the pump cylinder o-ring. Then, prime the pump. Also, check if the fluid supply is low or empty, and refill and prime the pump if needed. Make sure you check fluid supply often to prevent running the pump dry.

Why is the fluid delivery low on my Graco Roof Rigs 224483 Paint Sprayer?
    • K
      Kimberly HernandezAug 8, 2025
If you're experiencing low fluid delivery with your Graco Paint Sprayer, start by cleaning the siphon hose strainer, as it may be clogged. Ensure the pressure setting isn't too low and increase it if necessary. Also, check if the engine RPM is too low and increase the throttle setting. If there's a large pressure drop in the hose, consider using a larger diameter hose.

What to do if Graco Roof Rigs 224483 engine runs but the pump doesn’t?
    • S
      Sandra FletcherAug 13, 2025
If the engine of your Graco Paint Sprayer operates but the displacement pump doesn’t, first check if the pressure control switch is turned OFF and turn it ON. Ensure the pressure setting isn't too low and increase it. Clean the tip if it's clogged. If the displacement pump rod is seized by dry coating, service the pump. If the connecting rod, drive housing, or clutch are worn or damaged, they should be replaced or serviced accordingly. Check wiring connections and have the pressure control checked by an authorized Graco dealer if the electrical power isn't energizing the field or if the pinion assembly is worn or damaged, service the pinion assembly.

Why is the displacement pump output low on the upstroke of my Graco Roof Rigs 224483 Paint Sprayer?
    • C
      Cindy JohnsonAug 18, 2025
