This is to prevent cool air from being delivered until the heat exchange warms up; allow time for the heat exchange to warm up. Also, during defrosting, the IDU fan may stop because the system switches to cooling mode to prevent cool air from being delivered; the fan will resume operating after defrosting is complete.
