What to do if my GreenWorks Chainsaw motor runs but the chain won't cut?

  If the motor of your GreenWorks Chainsaw runs, but the chain doesn't cut correctly, or the motor stops after about 3 seconds, there are a couple of potential causes: * If the machine stops when you use it under load, release the trigger and then start the machine again. * The chain might not be lubricated properly. Make sure to lubricate the chain to reduce friction.

Why does my GreenWorks G24PS20 bar and chain get hot and smoke?

  If the GreenWorks Chainsaw bar and chain get hot and smoke, it could be due to several reasons: * The oil tank might be empty, in which case you should fill it. * The discharge port could be blocked. To fix this, remove the battery pack and clear any dirt from the discharge port. * The inlet opening of the inner oil tank might be blocked. Clean the oil tank and refill it with clean bar and chain lubricant. * The sprocket might be stuck and clogged with debris. Clean the sprocket and apply clean bar and chain lubricant.
