How to troubleshoot GreenWorks GPW 1800 motor that will not start?
    • C
      Cassidy KimAug 1, 2025
If your GreenWorks Pressure Washer motor won't start, first ensure the On/Off switch is in the “ON” ( | ) position. Then, check if the power cord is securely plugged in. If it is, try a different electrical outlet to rule out power supply issues. Also, the pressure washer circuit breaker might have tripped; in that case, allow the unit to cool down before restarting. Finally, with the power switch ON, push in on the gun trigger to engage the AUTO ON switch.

What to do if my GreenWorks GPW 1800 Pressure Washer does not reach high pressure?
    • P
      Parker WrightAug 11, 2025
If your GreenWorks Pressure Washer isn't reaching high pressure, start by checking the diameter of your garden hose; replace it with a 1” (25 mm) or 5/8” (16 mm) garden hose if the current one is too small. Next, inspect the garden hose for any kinks, leaks, or blockages that may be restricting the water supply. Ensure the water source is fully open to provide an adequate water supply. Also, make sure the spray tip is correctly installed on the wand assembly. Lastly, the water inlet filter might be clogged; remove it and rinse it in warm water.

Why does my GreenWorks Pressure Washer output pressure vary high and low?
    • V
      Victor ManningAug 22, 2025
If the output pressure of your GreenWorks Pressure Washer varies from high to low, first ensure that the water is turned on fully and check the garden hose for any kinks, leaks, or blockages that might be restricting the water supply. If the issue persists, the pump might be sucking air; check that hoses and fittings are airtight. Turn the machine off and purge the pump by squeezing the trigger gun until a steady flow of water emerges through the spray tip. Also, the water inlet filter could be clogged; remove the filter and rinse it in warm water. Finally, verify that only the pressure washer is running on the circuit, as a low supply voltage can cause pressure variations. If the gun, hose, or power spray tip is calcified, run distilled vinegar through the detergent tank.
