What to do if my GreenWorks GPW 2001 Pressure Washer motor will not start?
    • L
      Linda RobinsonAug 16, 2025
If your GreenWorks Pressure Washer motor won't start, first ensure the On/Off switch is in the “ON” ( | ) position. Check that the power cord is properly plugged in and that the electrical outlet supplies adequate power; try a different outlet if needed. Also, the pressure washer circuit breaker might have tripped, in that case, allow it to cool, and then restart the unit. Finally, if the power switch is ON, push in on the gun trigger to engage the AUTO ON switch.

Why is my GreenWorks GPW 2001 Pressure Washer not reaching high pressure?
    • C
      christopher76Aug 20, 2025
If your GreenWorks Pressure Washer isn't reaching high pressure, it could be due to several reasons. Check if the diameter of your garden hose is too small; replace it with a 1” (25 mm) or 5/8” (16 mm) garden hose. Also, ensure your water supply isn't restricted by checking the garden hose for kinks, leaks, or blockages. Make sure you have enough water supply by fully opening the water source. Finally, verify that the power nozzle is in the high-pressure position.

What to do if my GreenWorks GPW 2001 motor buzzes but fails to run?
    • H
      hansenmatthewAug 22, 2025
If your GreenWorks Pressure Washer motor buzzes but doesn't run, verify that only the pressure washer is running on the circuit, as the supply voltage may be below minimum. If the system has residual pressure, turn the unit “OFF”, squeeze the trigger on the spray wand to release the pressure, and then turn the unit “ON.” Unplug any extension cords and plug the unit directly into the outlet to avoid voltage loss. If the pressure washer hasn't been used for a long period, or there's residual friction among components, disconnect the water supply and power ON for 2 to 3 seconds, repeat couple times or until the motor starts.

What to do if my GreenWorks GPW 2001 detergent is not coming out?
    • J
      jvaldezAug 26, 2025
If detergent is not dispensing from your GreenWorks Pressure Washer, first check if the detergent tank selector is on and if the correct tank (A or B) is selected. Ensure the detergent bottle or suction tube is properly connected. If the detergent is too thick, dilute it. Also, check the filter on the detergent suction tube for clogs and remove any build-up. If the detergent suction tube is damaged or clogged, remove the obstruction or replace the tube. Ensure the nozzle is in the low-pressure position and that the discharge nozzle is not obstructed; if it is, blow out or remove the debris with a nozzle.

Why does the output pressure of my GreenWorks GPW 2001 vary high and low?
    • C
      Charles StanleyAug 27, 2025
If the output pressure of your GreenWorks Pressure Washer varies, it could be due to not enough inlet water supply. Ensure the water is turned on fully and check the garden hose for any kinks, leaks, or blockages. Another cause could be that the pump is sucking air. If this is the case, turn the machine “OFF” and purge the pump by squeezing the trigger.

Why is there no water coming from my GreenWorks GPW 2001?
    • L
      Laura WhiteAug 30, 2025
If no water is coming from your GreenWorks Pressure Washer, first verify that the inlet adapter (G2) is attached to the machine’s water inlet and that the quick connect coupler (G1) is attached to the garden hose, as the quick connect assembly might be attached in reverse. Ensure that the water supply is turned ON. Check for and remove any kinks in the garden hose.
