Maintenance schedule
Explosion-proof pumps
must be checked by an
authorised Ex workshop
after 3000 working hours
or at least once a year.
When the pump is new
or after the replacement
of the shaft seal, check
the oil level and water
content after one week
of operation.
After a short period of
storage, vent the pump
to let any explosive gas-
ses escape.
The cable must be re-
placed by Grundfos or
an authorised service
workshop.
Defective bearings may
reduce the Ex safety.
Do not reuse used rub-
ber parts.
Checking and changing the oil
Inspect the oil level and
condition every 3000 op-
erating hours or at least
once a year.
When the pump is new
or after the replacement
of the shaft seal, check
the oil level and water
content after one week
of operation.
Use Shell Ondina X420
oil or equivalent type.
