4. Installation
34 PNEG-2381 2000 Series U-Trough Bin Sweep Auger Unload System (72' - 78')
Pulley Taper Bore Hub Installation
1. Be sure the tapered cone surfaces of the bushing (77) and inside of the pulley (79) are clean and free
of grease and oil.
2. Place the bushing (77) in the pulley (79).
3. Place the bolts and lock washers (12) loosely in pull-up holes. Bushing (77) remains fully expanded
to assure sliding fit on the shaft.
4. With key (78) on shaft slide pulley (79) to the desired position on shaft. Be sure heads of bolts are on
the outside.
5. Tighten bolts alternately and progressively until they are pulled up tight. Tighten to 15 lbs.-ft. (20 Nm)
torque. Do not allow pulley (79) to be drawn in contact with the flange of bushing (77). There should
be a gap from 1/8" to 1/4" (3.2 mm-6.4 mm). (See Figure 4AP.)
NOTE: Do not over-tighten. Dry fit only.
