The Base Unit should be installed in a location that:
Allows connection to all M-Bus meters (if applicable) with less
than 3m of cable.
Allows connection to the pulse device (if applicable) with less
than 3m of cable.
Allows connection to the analogue device (if applicable) with
less than 3m of cable.
Allows connection to a dedicated 5A fused spur. Note: if
the Hub will be able to disconnect the domestic electricity
supply, it must be powered from a separate source (such
as the landlord’s supply) that will not be aected if the
domestic supply is cut.
Is easily accessible to the resident and allows them to view
the Hub’s display from directly in front. Keep in mind that
residents will use the display on the Hub to monitor their
consumption and remaining credit.
Is easily accessible to the installer of the Top Unit with
clearances as illustrated in Figure 4 below.
Will not subject the Hub to conditions outside those in the
specification above.
