Mains wiring should only be carried out by a qualified electrician.
However, no mains wiring should be required in order to install
the Guru Top Unit, provided the Base Unit has been installed
correctly.
If you discover at any point during installation that a change
to mains wiring is required, then (unless you are a qualified
electrician) ensure the covers are fixed over Compartments A
and B and stop the installation process until the wiring can be
corrected.
Connecting the Top Unit to the Base Unit
In order to commission the Hub, mains power must be present. If
you intend to commission the Hub, check that the “Mains Present”
LCD in Compartment B is lit.
Remove the cover from Compartment B. This cover is no longer
required and should be returned to your supplier to be used
again.
Connect the supplied ribbon cable to Connector 1 on the Top Unit
(Figure 7.1) and Connector 2 in Compartment B of the Base Unit
(Figure 7.2) as shown below.
