What to do if my HAMPTON BAY Fan will not start?
    • W
      William BerryJul 29, 2025
If your fan isn't starting, here are a few things to check: * First, check the main and branch circuit fuses or breakers. * Make sure the light kit plug is connected to the motor plug. * Inspect the line wire connections to the fan and switch wire connections in the switch housing. * If using a remote, verify the battery is correctly installed (after removing any protective wrap). * Ensure you are within the remote's operational range (10-20 ft). * Also, confirm the dip switch settings are the same on both the remote and receiver, remembering to turn off the power before checking.

How to fix a wobbling HAMPTON BAY ASBURY Fan?
    • R
      Robin TateAug 8, 2025
To address a wobbling fan, first ensure all blade bracket screws are secure and that all the blades are fully latched into place. Unequal blade levels often cause wobble. To check: 1. Select a point on the ceiling above the tip of one blade. 2. Measure from the center of each blade to that point on the ceiling. 3. Repeat for each blade; deviations should be within 1/8 inch. Run the fan for ten minutes. If the fan continues to wobble please contact Customer Service and a balancing kit will be sent to you at no charge.

Why is my HAMPTON BAY ASBURY Fan noisy?
    • C
      Carolyn BrownSep 12, 2025
A noisy fan can stem from several factors. Try these solutions: * Make sure all motor housing screws are snug. * Check that the screws attaching the fan blade bracket to the motor hub are tight. * Confirm wire nut connections aren't rattling inside the switch housing. * If you're using a light kit, ensure the screws securing the glassware are tight and the bulbs are secure. Also, allow a 24-hour "breaking in" period, as most new fan noises disappear during this time. Ensure the canopy isn't touching the ceiling and that your outlet box is secure, with rubber isolator pads used between the mounting plate and outlet box.
