      To reduce noise from your HAMPTON BAY Fan, ensure all motor housing screws are snug and that the screws attaching the blades to the motor hub are tight. Also, check that wire nut connections aren't rattling against each other or the switch housing's interior. Allow the fan a 24-hour breaking-in period, as most new fan noises disappear during this time. If using a ceiling light kit, make sure the glassware is secured tightly. Verify there's a small gap between the ceiling and canopy, ensuring they don't touch. Lastly, confirm your ceiling box is secure and that rubber isolator pads are used between the mounting bracket and outlet box.

      Most fan wobble problems are due to loose parts. Check that all blades and blade bracket screws are secure. After installation, let the ceiling fan run for 10 minutes to self-adjust. If wobbling continues, measure the distance from each blade to the ceiling; deviations should be within 1/8 inch. If deviations are minimal but the wobble persists, contact Customer Service (1-855-HD-HAMPTON) for a complimentary blade balancing kit. If the deviation exceeds 1/8 inch, call Customer Service (1-855-HD-HAMPTON) to order complimentary bracket replacements.
