      To reduce noise from your HAMPTON BAY Fan, ensure all motor housing screws are snug and the screws attaching the fan blades to the motor hub are tight. Check that wire nut connections are not rattling against each other or the switch housing's interior. Allow a 24-hour 'breaking-in' period for new fans, as most noises disappear during this time. If using a ceiling light kit, secure the glassware and light bulb tightly. Ensure there's a small gap between the ceiling and canopy, and that the ceiling box is secure with rubber isolator pads between the mounting bracket and outlet box.

      Most fan wobble issues with your HAMPTON BAY Fan are due to loose parts. First, make sure all blades and blade bracket screws are tightened properly. After installation, let the fan run for 10 minutes to self-adjust. If wobbling continues, check blade level: measure from each blade center to a point on the ceiling. If deviations are less than 1/8 inch, call Customer Service at 1-855-HD-HAMPTON for a Blade Balancing Kit. If the deviation exceeds 1/8 inch, contact Customer Service to order replacement brackets.
