  First, check the main and branch circuit fuses or breakers. Then, ensure the line wire connections to the fan and switch wire connections in the switch housing are secure, remembering to turn off the main power first. Finally, check the batteries in the transmitter, ensuring the red LED light comes on, you are within 10-20 feet of the fan, and the dip switch settings are the same on both the transmitter and receiver. Remember to turn off the power supply before checking the dip switch settings in the receiver.

Why is my HAMPTON BAY Midili so noisy?

  Several factors can cause a noisy fan. Start by ensuring all motor housing screws and the screws attaching the fan blade bracket to the motor hub are snug. Also, check that wire nut connections are not rattling against each other or the interior wall of the switch housing. Allow a 24-hour “breaking in” period, as most noises disappear during this time. If you're using a light kit, make sure the screws securing the glassware are tight and the bulb is secure. Ensure the canopy is not touching the ceiling and your outlet box is secure, with rubber isolator pads between the mounting bracket and outlet box.
