MAIN FEEDER APRON ADJUSTMENT
Four main feeder apron adjustment bolts are located at the rear of the forage
box. Two are located at the center of the box and are accessible from below
the frame. Left hand tightener bolt is located in panel behind drive shield at left
hand rear corner of box. Right hand tightener bolt is located in panel at right
rear of corner of box.
All apron chains must be taken up evenly before you use the forage box. Check
again after the first few loads. The Main Feeder Aprons should be at proper
tension at all times. Tighten the full threaded bolts (A) to adjust aprons. Aprons
are properly adjusted when the compression springs are an overall length of
one and one-half inches (1-1/2”). When proper adjustment is reached, lock
two center bolts by bending ends of locking tab against flat side of bolt head.
Outside tightener bolts are locked with lock nut tightened against idler shaft.
Maintain this tension when operating the box.
