• Press and hold READ /TIMER for three seconds. The display will show the countdown prior
to measurement. The beeper is playing a beep at the end of countdown period.
• At the end of measurement, the instrument directly displays concentration in mg/L of sulfate on
the LCD.
MEASUREMENT PROCEDURE
INTERFERENCES
Color or suspended matter in large amounts will interfere: suspended matter should be removed
by previous filtration.
Organic matter in large amounts may impede the precipitation of barium sulfate.
Calcium (as CaCO

) >20000 mg/L
Chloride (as Cl

) >40000 mg/L
Magnesium (as MgCO
3
) >10000 mg/L
Silica (as SiO
2
) >500 mg/L
Alternatively, wait for 5 minutes and just press READ /TIMER.
In both cases, the lamp, cuvette and detector icons will appear on the display, depending on
the measurement phase.
