Overview

The HANNLOMAX PLL ALARM CLOCK RADIO, Model HX-123CR, is a versatile alarm clock radio designed for everyday use, offering both timekeeping and radio listening functionalities.

Function Description:

This device primarily functions as an alarm clock with dual alarm settings and an integrated PLL AM/FM radio. It features a clear LED display for time and radio frequency, and a dimmer control to adjust display brightness. The radio allows for both manual and automatic station searching, and users can save up to 10 AM and 10 FM radio stations in memory for quick access. A "Sleep to Music" function is included, allowing users to fall asleep to radio music with a customizable timer. For convenience, it also incorporates a snooze function to temporarily suspend alarms.

Usage Features:

The device is equipped with a user-friendly interface, featuring several buttons for various operations:

  • CLK / MEM: Used for setting the clock, storing radio stations in memory, and selecting stored radio stations.
  • MIN / K: Adjusts minutes for clock and alarm settings, and searches radio stations backward.
  • HOUR / »: Adjusts hours for clock and alarm settings, and searches radio stations forward.
  • DIMMER: Adjusts the brightness of the LED display.
  • AL2 / – (VOLUME): Sets alarm time for Alarm 2 and decreases volume.
  • AL1 / + (VOLUME): Sets alarm time for Alarm 1 and increases volume.
  • SOURCE / AL. OFF / : Turns the unit on, selects AM, FM, or AUX mode, and turns off the alarm.
  • SNOOZE (SLEEP): Temporarily suspends the alarm for 9 minutes and sets the sleep timer.

Setting the Clock:

To set the clock, press and hold the CLK / MEM button until the time flashes. Use the HOUR / »\ and MIN / K buttons to adjust the hour and minute, then press CLK / MEM again to confirm.

Setting Alarms:

The device supports two independent alarms (AL1 and AL2). To set an alarm, press either AL1/+ or AL2/- until the alarm time flashes. Adjust the hour and minute using the HOUR / »\ and MIN / K buttons. Confirm by pressing AL1/+ or AL2/- again. Users can select either a buzzer or a radio station as the alarm sound. The corresponding alarm indicator (buzzer or radio) will light up.

Snooze Function:

When an alarm activates, pressing the SNOOZE button will temporarily suspend it for 9 minutes. This can be repeated for up to approximately one hour.

Turning Off Alarms:

To turn off an active alarm, press the SOURCE / AL. OFF / button.

Listening to the Radio:

Press SOURCE / AL. OFF / to select AM or FM band. Use HOUR / »\ or MIN / K buttons for step-by-step tuning. Press and hold these buttons for approximately 1 second to automatically search for the next strong radio station. Weak stations must be tuned manually. To turn off the radio, press and hold SOURCE / AL. OFF / for approximately 1 second.

Saving Radio Stations:

Tune to the desired station, then press and hold CLK / MEM to store it. The display will show "PXX" (where XX is the memory station number from 01 to 10). Up to 10 AM and 10 FM stations can be saved.

Listening to Saved Stations:

After selecting the AM or FM band with SOURCE / AL. OFF /, press CLK / MEM to cycle through the stored radio stations.

Sleep to Music Function:

Press the SNOOZE button to activate the sleep timer. The default sleep time is 90 minutes. Repeatedly pressing SNOOZE will cycle through preset sleep times (90-80-70-60-50-40-30-20-10 minutes, or OFF). The radio will automatically turn off after the selected time.

Dimmer Control:

Press the DIMMER button to adjust the brightness of the LED display.

Maintenance Features:

  • Cleaning: The device should only be cleaned with a dry cloth.
  • Ventilation: Do not block any ventilation openings to ensure proper operation and prevent overheating.
  • Heat Sources: Avoid installing the unit near radiators, heat registers, stoves, or other heat-producing apparatus.
  • Power Cord Protection: Ensure the power cord is protected from being walked on or pinched, especially at plugs and where it exits the apparatus.
  • Attachments/Accessories: Only use attachments/accessories specified by the manufacturer.
  • Servicing: Refer all servicing to qualified service personnel. Servicing is required if the apparatus is damaged (e.g., damaged power cord/plug, liquid spilled, objects fallen into, exposed to rain/moisture, not operating normally, or dropped).
