Compressor and
interior lighting off.
Socket has no power. Check by connecting another appliance.
Mains plug is not tight. Check the tightness of the mains plug.
Compressor is not
running, interior

Desired temperature has
been reached.
Further cooling not required. When the in-
side temperature rises, the compressor au-
tomatically switches on.
Repositioning.
The appliance requires 2 hours to allow the
refrigerant to settle.
Appliance cools
too quickly
Temperature control knob is
set too high.
Turn down the temperature control knob
(see page GB-10).
The appliance
doesn’t cool suffi-
ciently.
Incorrect temperature select-
ed.
Turn the temperature control knob to a high-
er position (see page GB-10).
Door not tightly closed or
door seal is not completely
tight.

The appliance is near a heat
source.
Place insulation plate in-between or change
location.
Food was not cooled. Only put in cooled foods.
Too many goods added at
once.
Do not add more than 4 kg of goods at once.
A thick layer of ice has formed
in the freezer compartment.
Defrost the freezer compartment (see "De-
frosting“ on page GB-17).
Ambient temperature too low
or too high.
Adjust the ambient temperature to the cli-
mate category (see last page).
Compressor seems defec-
tive.
Set temperature control knob to “7”. If the
compressor does not switch on within an
hour, please contact our service centre.
Water has accu-
mulated in the
fridge compart-
ment at the bottom.
The defrost water drain below
the lower vegetable drawer is
blocked.
Unblock the defrost drain using the enclosed
cleaning rod.
Appliance is mak-
ing a noise.
Operating noises are func-
tional and are not a sign of
malfunction.
Noise– refrigeration unit is running.
Flow noise – refrigerant is flowing through
the pipes.
Clicking – Motor switching on or off.
Disturbing noises.
Check that it is stable
Remove any objects from the appliance.
Remove any debris from the rear.
