Burnpot Cleaning:
Theburnpotshouldbecleanednolessthanonceaweek.
Forbestoperationtheburnpotshouldbecleanedeverytime
thehopperislledwithpellets.Theredoesnothavetobe
outtoscrapetheburnpotalthoughitisrecommendedthe
boilerbeonminimumburnatthetimeofcleaning.
CAUTION: Wear Gloves To Prevent Burns.
Usethe at end of the scraper provided to scrape down
overtheholedsurfaceoftheburnpotgrate.SeeFig.17.Itis
notnecessarytocleanoutthescrapingsfromthiscleaning
becausetheywillbepushedoutastheaugeroperates.
Note: Make a special effort to scrape the bottom inside
corners of the burnpot where the auger tube enters the
burnpot. Carbon deposits can build up over time in this area
that may cause a restriction to the ow of pellets into the
burnpot.
Note: The end of the scraper may need sharpened
occasionally, for best results.
Whilescrapingtheburnpot,youcanalsousethescraper
tooltotaponeachofthevisibleheatexchangespirals.This
willhelptomaintainmaximumefciencybetweencleanings.
Cleaning the Burnpot Air Chamber:
Thisareaonlyneedstobecleanedtwiceaheating
season,unlessexcessivebuildupisnoticedduring
scheduledcleanings.
Thereisacoveronthefrontoftheburnpottogainaccessto
theairchamber.Thecoverisheldintoplacebytwothumb
screws.Loosenthethumbscrewsandremovethecover.

hasfallenthroughtheholesduringoperationandcleaning.
NOTE: ALWAYS REMEMBER TO CLOSE THE CLEANOUT
COVER AFTER CLEANING.
Feeder Chamber (Fig. 20):
Thischamber may geta buildup ofnes from thefeeder
mechanismmovement.Thisareashouldbecheckedand
cleaned at least once a year.
To remove the feeder cover:
• Loosenthe5/16”wingnut.
• Slidethecoveroffofthethreadedstudandliftupward.
• Inspectandcleantheinnerchamberasnecessary.SeeFig.
20.
• Thereisaremovableplateinthisareathatdeectsnes
intotheauger.Toremovethisplate,rollitoutunderthe
pusherarm.
• Reinstallthecovermakingcertainitiscenteredonthe
feederbodyandhand-tightenthewingnut.
