Questions and Answers

Why does my Haussmann 58485000 blade keep breaking?
    • S
      Seth PerezAug 2, 2025
Excessive blade breakage in your Haussmann Saw can occur for several reasons. Make sure the material is secured on the table. The blade might be too coarse for the material, so try using a finer pitch blade. Ensure the teeth aren't in contact with the work before starting the saw; place the blade in contact after the saw reaches full speed. Check for misaligned guides and adjust them. The blade could be too thick for the wheel diameter, so use a thinner blade. Finally, cracking at the weld also leads to breakage, in this case you should replace the blade.

How to fix crooked cuts with my Haussmann 58485000?
    • T
      Theresa WashingtonAug 6, 2025
Crooked cuts with your Haussmann Saw can be caused by several factors. Ensure your work is square by using a mitre gauge and adjusting the table tilt to 90°. If the rate of feed is too great, reduce it. Improperly adjusted blade guides can also cause this, so move both guide blocks within .002” from the blade using a gauge. The upper blade guide should be adjusted to just clear the workpiece by 1/4”. A dull blade can also lead to crooked cuts, so replace it if necessary. Lastly, check if the blade guide assembly or blade thrust bearing is loose and tighten the blade thrust bearing within .002” behind the blade back.

Why is the blade on my Haussmann 58485000 Saw dulling so quickly?
    • M
      Morgan HubbardAug 10, 2025
Premature blade dulling on your Haussmann Saw may occur if the blade is too coarse; try using a finer tooth blade. Also, inadequate feed pressure can cause this, so gently increase the pressure. If there are hard spots or scale in or on the material, reduce speed and increase the rate of feed for scale, and change blades for hard spots. Finally, ensure the blade isn't installed backwards; if it is, remove it, twist it inside out, and reinstall it.

What to do if the blade on my Haussmann Saw is twisting?
    • K
      Kaitlyn GardnerAug 14, 2025
If the blade on your Haussmann Saw is twisting or showing unusual wear, it might be because the cut is binding the blade; decrease feed pressure. Worn blade guides or bearings can also cause this, so replace them if necessary. Ensure blade guides or bearings are properly adjusted. Also, check if the blade guide brackets are loose and tighten them properly.

How to prevent rough cuts with my Haussmann 58485000?
    • A
      Alejandro ChapmanSep 12, 2025
Rough cuts from your Haussmann Saw can occur if there's too much feed; reduce the feed. Also, the blade might be too coarse, so replace it with a finer blade.

    Holly WardAug 23, 2025
Why are teeth ripping from the blade of my Haussmann Saw?
    • A
      Anthony DavisAug 23, 2025
If teeth are ripping from the blade of your Haussmann Saw, it could be because the teeth are too coarse for the work; use a blade with finer teeth. A feed rate that is too great can also cause this, so decrease the feed rate. If the workpiece is vibrating, hold it firmly. Alternatively, the teeth may be filling with material, so use a blade with coarser teeth.

    David JonesAug 27, 2025
Why is the motor of my Haussmann 58485000 running too hot?
    • M
      mitchelljessicaAug 27, 2025
The motor of your Haussmann Saw may run too hot if the blade is too coarse for the work, which is typical when cutting pipe; use a blade with finer teeth. Conversely, if the blade is too fine for the work, which is typical when cutting slick or soft material, use a blade with coarser teeth. Excessive dirt and chips can also cause overheating, so clean the saw thoroughly.
