Ground conditions affect traction. Particular conditions may not permit safe operation on the slope limits stated.
Remember there is no such thing as a “SAFE” slope. Travel on a grass slope requires particular care. To guard against
overturning:
- Use extreme care when changing direction on a slope.
- Do not stop or start suddenly when travelling up or downhill.
- Engage and disengage drive slowly. Take extreme care, especially when
travelling downhill.
- Machine speed should be kept low on slopes and during tight turns.
- Stay alert for humps and hollows and other hidden hazards.
- Never mow across the face of a slope.
Keep all nuts, bolts and screws correctly torqued to be sure that the equipment is in safe working condition.
Replace worn or damaged parts for safety.
Ensure that all emergency exits are in full working order.
