  Low flow in your Hayward Water Pump can be due to several reasons. It may be caused by plugged or restricted discharge line of filter, valve partially closed. For sand filters and D.E. filters - backwash as per manufacturer’s instructions. For cartridge filters – clean or replace the cartridge. Also, check for air leaks in the suction (bubbles issuing from return fittings). Re-tighten the suction and discharge connections using Teflon tape. Inspect other plumbing connections, and tighten as required. Check for a plugged, restricted, or damaged impeller and replace the impeller including a new seal assembly. It can also be caused by undersized pool piping, which needs to be corrected.
