The sensor is more sensitive to motion across
the front of the sensor than to motion towards
the sensor.
The detector senses heat in motion and pos-
sibly heat sources that change temperature
quickly. Therefore, to avoid false triggering,
avoid placing the sensor where it will be aimed
at air conditioners, heaters, and other sources
of heat or cold.

How to fix Heath Zenith Switch when light does not come on?
    • M
      Martin ClarkJul 31, 2025
If your Heath Zenith Switch light isn't turning on, there are several potential causes. First, check the circuit breaker or fuse and replace it if necessary. If the controlled lamp has another switch, ensure it's turned on. Replace the bulb, as it may be defective. Adjust the LIGHT control if it's set too far toward the dark position. Make sure the mode switch is set to AUTO, not OFF. Finally, check the wiring for proper connections.

      Austin PaulAug 7, 2025
If your Heath Zenith Switch light is not turning off, it could be due to several reasons. First, check the wiring to ensure it is correct. Make sure the mode switch is set to AUTO instead of ON. Ensure that there is no motion detected. Also, the delay set by the TIME control may not have expired yet, so wait for it to expire.

What to do if Heath Zenith Switch lights do not stay on in AUTO mode?
    • B
      Brian BensonAug 14, 2025
If the lights controlled by your Heath Zenith Switch do not stay on in AUTO mode, it could be because motion has stopped in the room, so ensure there is motion. Alternatively, the TIME control may be set for too short a delay; adjust it for a longer delay.

Why does Heath Zenith Switch light come on for no reason?
    • N
      npriceAug 22, 2025
If your Heath Zenith Switch light comes on for no reason in AUTO mode, it might be due to heating or cooling objects (such as air vents, appliances, or drafts) causing false triggering; eliminate these sources near the sensor. It could also be triggered by turning the switch on the sensor off and back on; in this case, restart the sensor. A momentary power interruption may also cause this; the light will turn off automatically when the “on” time expires.
