OPERATION
The
Video
Terminal
will
generate
and
display
64
ASCII
coded
characters.
They
include
the
alphabet
(upper
case
only),
numbers,
punctuation,
and
many
symbols.
Thirty-two
standard
control
characters
and
twenty-four
special
functions
can also
be
generated.

the
location
of the
keys
described
in
the following
parag-
raphs.
LOCAL
FUNCTION
KEYS
The
local
function
keys
do not
transmit
ASCII
charac-
ters;
they
only
affect
the
display.
CURSOR
CONTROL
KEYS
These
keys
are
on
the far
right
of the
keyboard
and
they
are labeled
with
arrows.
These
keys
move
the
cursor
one
character
position
or one
character
line
as indicated
by
the
arrow.
HOME
This
key moves
the
cursor
to
the
first
character
loca-
tion
on the
first
line.
ERASE
EOL
(End
Of Line)
This
key
erases
the
text
from
the
current
cursor
loca-
tion to
the
end
of that
line.
ERASE
PAGE
This
key
erases
all text
and
fills
the
page (screen)
with
spaces. It
also
places
the
cursor
in
the home
position.
