( ) Measure the resistance between the two
flat prongs of the AC line cord plug. With
the
POWER switch off, the resistance
should read infinite. With the POWER switch
on, the resistance should be 20 n or more.
DIFFICULTY
Resistance measured 20 n or more with POWER
switch off and infinite with POWER switch on.
Resistance measured near zero ohms.
) Check the resistance between each line cord
plug prong and the chassis. The resistance
. should measure infinite for both prongs.
( ) Check the resistance between the round
ground prong of the line cord plug and the
chassis. This resistance should be near
zero ohms.
DIFFICULTY
Resistance not as described.
( ) Set the voltmeter to read a DC+ voltage of
about 43
volts.
( ) Connect the voltmeter common lead to either
black binding post. Connect the other volt-
meter lead to TPl.
POSSIBLE CAUSE
POWER switch installed upside down.
POWER
switch connected directly across line
cord.
POSSIBLE CAUSE
Line cord
not wired properly. Check line cord
connections.
( ) Turn the POWER switch OFF, and plug the
line cord into a 120 VAC outlet.
( ) Turn the POWER switch ON. Thevoltmeter
reading should gradually increase to about
43
volts and stay there.
