When there are more than one fault existing on the engine, press the Increment and
Decrement switch at the right side of the fault diagnosis switch so as to realize the
functions of increment and decrement. Please turn off the fault diagnosis switch
before engine is started. If the fault diagnosis switch is turned on after engine is
started, the engine can’t save the fault code. If Increment and Decrement switch at the
right side will be adjusted after startup, fine adjustment will be made to the idle speed
of the engine. The idle speed will be increased or decreased about 25 rpm respectively
for increment or decrement once.
(2) Welding on the parts of the integral machine is not recommended. If the welding is
a must, all the socket connectors and power supply of ECM must be disconnected first.
The distance between grounding cable of the electric welding machine and welding
point is not allowed to exceed 2 feet (0.61m) . The grounding cable of the electric
welding machine is forbidden to connect with ECM.
(3) The power supply (general mains switch) for ECM can only be cut off 30 seconds
after the ignition key is turned off.
(4) When the oil filter is reinstalled, it’s inside must first be topped up with lubrication
oil and integral installation can be carried out only after the pipes are connected.
(5) The electronic control QSB6.7 engine is forbidden to be cleaned in water flushing
mode to prevent the water from entering into the electronic system, causing short
circuit of ECM.
(6) When the fault displayed by fault code is the one concerning the engine body,
please contact with the local Cummins agent immediately. The maximum pressure
inside the high pressure chamber of high pressure common rail can reach 160MPa, so
the high pressure pipes are prohibited to be dismounted without authorization.
