If you are unable to resolve the problem by following this Troubleshooting Guide,
please contact your local HemoCue distributor or HemoCue AB. Note! Do not open the analyzer.
May be a temporary fault.
The analyzer shows an error code.
Turn off the analyzer and turn it on again after 30 seconds.
Take a new cuvette and repeat the measurement. If the
problem continues, see specific error code below.
No stable endpoint is found within the time range.
1. The cuvette is faulty.
2. The circuit board is out of order.
E00
1a. Check the expiry date for the cuvettes.
1b. Take a new cuvette and repeat the measurement.
2. The analyzer needs service. Contact your distributor.
1. Fault or dirt in the optic or electronic units.
E01–E05
1a. Turn off the analyzer and clean the optronic unit
using the HemoCue Cleaner.
1b. The analyzer needs service. Contact your distribu
tor.
1. Unstable blank value. The analyzer might be cold.
E06 1. Turn off the analyzer and allow it to reach room
temperature. If the problem continues, the analyzer
needs service.
Contact your distributor.
1. The battery power is too low.
E07
1a.
The batteries need to be replaced. Turn off the analyzer
and replace the batteries, 4 type R6 or AA, 1.5 V.
1b. Use the mains power supply.
The absorbance is too high.
1. Light blocking item in the cuvette holder.

1a. Check that the analyzer and cuvettes are being used
according to the HemoCue Glucose 201
+

manual and instructions for use.

and will remain as error code E35 until the entire
memory has been deleted.
