4.9 Drain valve
Removal and installation of the Drain valve:
NOTE - Safety precautions:
Observe the safety instructions!
Check decontamination of the unit!
Removal:
1. Lift the working plate or the working plate modules
[1] and check to see if there is any liquids in the
safety cabinet floorpan.
2. Unscrew the drain valve [3] with a pipe wrench or
with an open-end wrench.
Installation:
3. Wrap sealing Teflon
tape around the thread [2]
of the new drain valve.
4. Install and tighten the drain valve.
5. Seal the gab around the drain valve inside the
cabinet with silicon.
6. Check if the safety label 50061176 [4] is next to
the drain valve.
7. Check for leakage.
NOTE - Unit commissioning:
Prior to the commissioning of the unit:
Perform test run!
Check safety devices for proper opera-
tion!
