- Insert the installation CD-ROM into your CD-ROM drive and follow the on-screen instructions to
install the Hercules Mobile DJ Mix software.
4.2. Installing the hardware
- Remove the battery compartment cover on the back of your Mobile DJ MP3 and insert two C
size (LR14) batteries (*not included). Replace the battery compartment cover when you’re done.
- Remove the protective cover from the USB receiver.
In order to achieve optimal range for your Mobile DJ MP3, you should use the directional
USB cable to position the USB receiver upright, like an antenna.
- Attach the USB receiver to the directional USB cable.
- Connect the directional USB cable to a USB port on your PC and adjust the receiver so that it
ideally stands in an upright position for optimal range.
Windows displays a couple of Found New Hardware messages and then informs you that your
hardware is installed and ready to use.
4.3. Mobile DJ MP3 and your PC’s sound card
Mobile DJ MP3 must be used in conjunction with your PC’s sound card, speakers and/or
headphones; it is your sound card that will actually play the music on your PC. You will use your
Mobile DJ MP3 to manipulate the music being played on your PC.
