1. Check the connection of the EGR valve connector (looseness and
poor contact).
1. Set the starter key to the "LOCK" position.
2. Disconnect the EGR valve connector.
3. Set the starter key to the "ON" position.
4. Use the electrical tester to measure the voltage between the termi-
nals of the EGR valve vehicle side connector.

Inspect the EGR valve connector
Was any failure found?
Connect securely, repair if needed.
Perform "After-inspection work" of INFOR-
MATION section.
Go to step 4.

Do the measurements meet the standard value?
Go to step 5. Check the wire harness (actuator power sup-
ply and ground) and battery voltage.
Repair or replace if needed.
Perform "After-inspection work" of INFOR-
MATION section.
