IECEx – Certification Scheme for Explosive Atmospheres
For RS20/22/30/32/40 devices labeled with an IECEx certificate number,
the following applies:
List of standards:
IEC 60079-0:2011+ Corr. 2012 + Corr. 2013
IEC 60079-15:2010
The device is suitable for use in an area with a degree of soiling of 2
as per IEC 60664-1
.
Make sure that the device has the following label:
Ex nA IIC T4 Gc IECEx DEK 14.0077X
for RS20/22/30/32 types.
Ex nA IIC T3 ... T4 Gc IECEx DEK 14.0076X
for RS40 types.
Environmental class and temperature code for types RS20 and RS30:
T4: 0 °C Ta +60 °C for "S" types
(Item 14 in the schematic legend) or
T4: 40 °C Ta +70 °C for "T" or "E" types
(Item 14 in the schematic legend).
Environmental class and temperature code for types RS22 and RS32:
T4: 40 °C Ta +70 °C for "T" or "E" types
(Item 14 in the schematic legend) or
T4: 0 °C Ta +50 °C for "S" types
(Item 14 in the schematic legend) or
Environmental class and temperature code for RS40 types:
T3: 40 °C Ta +70 °C for "T" or "E" types
(Item 14 in the schematic legend) or.
T4: 40 °C Ta +60 °C for “T” or “E” types
(item 14 of nomenclature breakdown).
T4: 0 °C Ta +60 °C for “S” types
(item 14 of nomenclature breakdown).
The modules shall be installed in a suitable enclosure in accordance
with EN 60079-15 providing a degree of protection of at least IP54
according to EN 60529, taking into account the environmental
conditions under which the equipment will be used.
