Select a firm, level surface to park the machine.
Fully retract the bucket and arm cylinders, and low-
er the boom so that the bucket teeth come into
contact with the ground.

Loosen screws (1) (3 used) to remove cover (2).
Turn cap (3) to the stop to release air pressure
from the hydraulic oil tank. Remove cap (3).
Stop the engine. Operate each lever several times
to release residual pressure from the hydraulic cir-
cuits.

Insert block (3) between bucket cylinder (1) and
arm (2). Place block (3) under the tip of arm (2).

REMOVE AND INSTALL CYLINDERS

CAUTION:
1.
Escaping hydraulic fluid under pressure can penetrate the skin or eyes, causing serious in-
jury. Avoid this hazard by relieving pressure before disconnecting hydraulic or other lines.
2.
Hydraulic oil and components may be hot just after operation. Hot hydraulic oil may spout,
possibly causing severe burns. Be sure to wait for hydraulic oil and component to cool be-
fore starting work.
