Parking the Machine on Slopes

WARNING: Avoid parking and/or stopping the
machine on slopes. The machine may tip over, possibly
resulting in personal injury.
Ifparkingthemachineonaslopeisunavoidable:
Thrustthebucketteethintotheground.
Return the control levers to neutral and pull pilot control
shut-offlever(1)totheLOCKposition.
Blockbothtracks.
Parking the Machine
1. Parkthemachineonalevelsurface.
2. Lowerthebucketandthebladetotheground.
IMPORTANT: Turbocharger may be damaged if the
engine is not properly shut down.
3. Turntheenginecontrollevercounterclockwisetothe
slow idle position. Run the engine at slow idle speed for
approximately5minutestocooltheengine.
4. TurnthekeyswitchtoOFF.Removekey(2)fromthekey
switch.
5. Pullpilotcontrolshut-offlever(1)totheLOCKposition.
IMPORTANT: Protect cab electrical components from bad
weather. Always close windows, roof vent and cab door
when parking the machine.
6. Closethewindows,theroofvent,andthecabdoor,ifthe
cab is provided.
7. Lockalldoorsandcovers.
