Function and trouble
The electronic system monitors the synchronism of the
lifting arms. Differences of approx. 10 mm are possi-
ble. If this difference is exceeded, the leading carriage
is stopped until both carriages are at the same level,
and is then switched on again. Such control operations
can be repeated several times over the whole travel of
the lift. If the difference increases to approx. 50 mm,
the electronic system switches to the emergency stop
mode and the lift is switched off. Cause: poor force
transmission due to a loose V-belt or other malfunc-
tions. Once this condition has occurred the lift can be
lowered by means of the emergency button on the
controller board.
Emergency lowering
Emergency lowering must only be carried out by
trained personnel.
To this end open the lower control box, press the
EMERGENCY button and turn the control switch to
LOWER. LIFTING is not possible. The synchronism
control function is not active during this operation.
Make sure with the assistance of a second person
that the lifting arms are lowered on both sides and
that the difference in height does not increase dan-
gerously.
The lift must be switched off before the lower of the
two arms reaches the bottom limit position.
To correct a difference in height of the lifting arms:
Turn off the main switch, remove the belt cover and
use an Allen wrench to adjust the spindle retaining
screw and bring the lifting arms to the same height.
These screws can also be used to lower the lift
manually in the event of a power failure or defective
motor. Both sides must be lowered simultaneously.
If the lift is lowered manually the main switch always
has to be turned off and secured. When carrying out
work near the belt drive pay attention to the dis-
placement transducers; they must not be shifted or
damaged.
In the event of malfunctions beyond a loose V-belt or
lack of lubrication please call the service technician.
