3. Select the DVD mode by
pressing MODE (14) on the DVD
player controls or SOURCE (25)
on the DVD remote control.
4. Adjust the volume via the control
in the headphone ear speaker.
Caprice: When the screen is on, the
infrared headphone signal is
transmitted. See “Infrared
headphones” earlier in this section.
Changing source
(Caprice V-series)
Press MODE (14) on the DVD
player controls or SOURCE (25) on
the DVD remote control t o select the
desired source. See “Multimode
operation” later in this section.
Playing a DVD
Press
r (53) on the DVD player
controls or touch ► (Caprice
V-Series), ► (22) on the DVD
player controls (Caprice) or ► (51)
on the DVD remot e control to start
the DVD playback.
Some DVDs will not allow you to
fast forward or skip the copyright or
preview s.
Some DVDs will begin playing after
the previews have finished. If the
DVD does not begin playing the
main title, refer to the on-screen
instructions, as the DVD may be
displaying its main title menu.
Stopping DVD playback
Press ■ (21) on the DVD player
controls, press ■ (48) on the DVD
remote control, o r touch ■ (Caprice
V-Series).
Caprice V-Series: Select another
source (e.g. AM, FM or CD) by
pressing MEDIA (N)orbypressing
AUDIO (1) on the steering wheel
remote controls.
Resume playback
Press ► (22) on the DVD player
controls, ► (51) on the DVD remote
control, or touch ► (Caprice
V-Series) to start the DVD playback.
As long as the DVD disc has not
been ejected and ■ (48) on the DVD
remote control has not been
pressed twice, the movie will
resume playing from where it was
last stopped.
If the disc has been ej ected, or if ■
(48) has been pressed twice, the
disc will resume playing at the
beginning.
Pausing a DVD
Press
j (53) (Caprice V-Series) or
(20) (Caprice) on the DVD player
controls or
j (23) on the DVD
remote control.
To continue playing, press
j (53)
(Caprice V-Series) or (20) (Caprice)
again, or ► (51) on the DVD remote
control.
Chapter/track/time selection
While an audio CD is composed of
tracks and a VCD disc is composed
of chapters, a DVD is composed of
titles.
